Using a Structured Approach to Equity Analysis with Learning Outcomes Data
The following document proposes a sequential approach to impact evaluation analyses with a specific focus on an equity-based analysis of program effects and reach. Broadly, the structured approach follows a step-by-step implementation of various analyses to provide adequate context to the study participants, generate statistical profiles along student, teacher, and classroom observable characteristics stratified by treatment status, as well as by learning outcome performance. In this case, we rely on oral reading fluency measures to assess student learning and gains. The data employed in this document are simulated following specific data generating processes for each variable included in the data set.
