Enhancing Quality in Pre-primary Education in Lebanon in Times of Crisis
This report is an introductory study on pre-primary education in Lebanon in preparation for further support to this education sub-sector. To better understand the climate in pre-primary education, the study investigated the following questions:
- What makes for good quality in pre-primary education?
- What is happening in the Lebanese pre-primary education context? And what are the gaps between high-quality pre-primary and the current experience?
- What recommendations could be offered to enhance quality within the existing context and constraints?
The study investigated the current state of affairs in pre-primary education at the level of context, system, school, classroom, teacher, children, families, and community. The report also offers recommendations about how to improve the quality of pre-primary education in Lebanon.
