Using Country Systems in Ghana
A Government-to-Government (G2G) Case Study
This case study traces USAID Ghana’s engagement and growing expertise in the use of government-to-government assistance since 2005 to the current focus on achievement of Goal 1 of the Education Strategy. Given this depth of experience, USAID Ghana has much to offer in the way of lessons learned and effective practices in the use of partner country systems in education. Information for the case study was gathered from an extensive review of relevant documents and interviews with USAID, government, donor and third party representatives in the country.
The purpose of the G2G Education country case studies is to capture the lessons learned and effective practices through documentation of Missions’ operational steps in assessing, designing, implementing and evaluating education projects with G2G financing.
