USAID Education FY19 Data Brief: Foundational Skills
2019 Snapshot of USAID Activities in Education
The purpose of this brief is to identify gaps and good practices in education activities funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) that support the foundational skills of reading, math, and social and emotional learning (SEL). Content for this brief is pulled from FY 2019 USAID reporting of Performance Plan and Report (PPR) indicators and narratives, as well as additional resources. The brief maps USAID programs in foundational skills by region, presents the number of learners in primary and secondary schools reached with U.S. government (USG) assistance, breaks down the components present in USAID programs, and presents the PPR indicators reported by each USAID Mission.
