Reigniting Learning: Five Essential Strategies to Help Learners Catch-up During Crises

USAID’s new evidence review, Reigniting Learning: Strategies for Accelerating Learning Post-Crisis, identifies evidence-based strategies to adapt the curriculum, modify instructional time, and refine pedagogy to accelerate learning.
The Strengthening Higher Education Access in Malawi (SHEAMA) activity, supported by USAID, focuses on increasing Malawi’s skilled and employable workforce – especially rural adolescent girls and young women and vulnerable young men. In response to COVID-19, SHEAM formed a Distance Learning Taskforce. The taskforce is composed of faculty from across the 5 public universities and is focusing on ensuring continuity of learning in universities through distance learning amidst the pandemic.
