Private Sector Engagement in Education Plan
The USAID Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Policy is an Agency-wide Call to Action to work hand-in-hand with the private sector to design and deliver programs across sectors.
PSE is defined as a strategic approach to planning and programming through which USAID consults, strategizes, aligns, collaborates, and implements with the private sector for greater scale, sustainability, and effectiveness in achieving development or humanitarian outcomes across all sectors.
For the USAID Center for Education, the purpose of the PSE in Education Plan is to make organizational and behavioral changes to:
- be a better partner
- be intentional and strategic in our engagement and partnerships with the private sector
- build “shared value” relationships that align with the USAID Education Policy
- provide technical support that is responsive to the Mission and advances the Journey to Self Reliance
