A Framework for Evaluating Appropriateness of Educational Technology Use in Global Development Programs
Following an extensive literature review, the framework was developed by researchers at MIT and then tested in India with a small team of investigators from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad carrying out fieldwork and analysis. The aim in the pilot was twofold:
- To test the framework out in various contexts where educational technology was being used and see whether the questions we were asking were relevant in these contexts and
- Whether there was anything of importance to various stakeholders in the field that we were not asking, but should be.
This was used as an iterative process to improve the framework based on data from the field.
