Youth Programming Assessment Tool: Ensuring High Quality Youth Programming and Institutionalizing Positive Youth Development
This webinar introduced the Youth Programming Assessment Tool (YPAT), a tool created to provide youth-serving organizations with concrete steps and examples for how to improve their programming based on the Positive Youth Development (PYD) approach. FHI 360’s YPAT, the first such tool designed for developing countries, was developed after reviewing PYD evidence, existing tools, and receiving stakeholder feedback and then refined in collaboration with youth-serving organizations in Jordan and Jamaica. Representatives from Jordan and Jamaica presented on the co-creation and adaptation process and shared views from the implementing partners that piloted the tool. The second half of the presentation included a deep-dive into the tool components, including sample standards and how youth are integrated into the entire process and concluded with time for questions.
