Teachers in Crisis Contexts (TiCC) Roundtable
The Teachers in Crisis Contexts Roundtable — co-sponsored by the Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE), Oxfam*, UNESCO, the International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030, and Education International — will bring together practitioners, policymakers, education sector leaders, teachers, teacher educators, researchers, and donors working in education in emergencies (EiE) and protracted crisis settings. The aim is to share promising practices, approaches, tools, and research; troubleshoot challenges and brainstorm solutions; identify knowledge gaps specific to teachers in conflict, crisis, and displacement contexts; and mobilize committed actors around an action-oriented agenda for improving support to teachers working in these contexts.
Roundtable objectives
- Produce, share, and learn from evidence-generating promising practices, policies, and research approaches for supporting teachers in conflict, crisis, and displacement contexts.
- Engage teachers in decisions about practice, policy, and research through their active participation in the roundtable and post-event planning and advocacy.
- Identify critical gaps and develop an action-oriented agenda for improving teacher practices and policies in conflict, crisis, and displacement contexts.
- Mobilize roundtable participants and their partners to build on the outcomes that emerge during the roundtable in our collective efforts to strengthen support to teachers.
