Globalizing Employee Resource Groups on Disability
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) of workers with disabilities have proven to be a successful mechanism to make the needs of employees with disabilities heard and addressed in companies where these ERGs exist. Multinational enterprises with disability ERGs face the challenge of making these groups effective around the globe.
The webinar featured Kate Nash, CEO and Creator of PurpleSpace, the world’s only networking and professional development hub for employees with disabilities, as well as Rogier Reinders, chair of Dow's Disability Employee Network for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI). The webinar was moderated by Yves Veulliet, Global Disability & Inclusion Leader at IBM.
Kate is creator and CEO of PurpleSpace - the world’s only professional development membership hub for disabled employee networks. PurpleSpace delivers leadership know-how to network leaders and is becoming the go-to global community of disabled employee network leaders across all sectors. She chairs the Shaw Trust Power List power list UK which celebrates Britain’s 100 most influential persons with disability or impairment and is a member of the Minister’s Disability Confidence Business Leaders’ Group. In 2007, Kate was awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to disabled people.
Rogier is the chair of Dow's Disability Employee Network for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI). Rogier has held his position as Global Marketing Director since 2016 and has worked for DowDuPont (formerly as the subsidiary Dow Corning) for fifteen years.
