USAID Releases the Agency’s New Education Policy
USAID is pleased to announce the release of the Agency’s new Education Policy. The Education Policy provides an Agency-wide vision and direction for supporting our partner countries in strengthening their capacity to deliver quality learning opportunities for children and youth. It recognizes that education is a foundational driver of a country’s journey to self-reliance.
USAID led a collaborative process to develop the Policy in consultation with our Missions, other sectors within the Agency, implementing partners, bilateral and multilateral donors, faith-based and advocacy organizations, congressional representatives, the private sector and others.
The Education Policy outlines principles and priorities that will drive USAID’s decision-making and investments in education programming in order to achieve sustained, measurable improvements in learning outcomes and skills development.
