The Mobiles for Education Alliance Invites Participants for its 8th Annual Symposium
The 8th Annual Mobiles for Education Alliance Symposium will take place at the United States Institute for Peace in Washington, DC on November 6-8, 2018. The event brings together thought leaders in the field of information and communications technology for education (ICT4E), including representatives of donor agencies, multilateral institutions, governments, academic institutions, and the private sector.
Led by the Mobiles for Education Steering Committee, the Symposium is designed to dynamically increase practitioner and policymaker access to relevant information on the appropriate and scalable use of low-cost technologies to improve learning outcomes, principally in low-resource environments and developing countries.
This year the Symposium will focus on the central role of the teacher and community educator and, specifically, how technology can provide greater support for their professional development, motivation, networking, and delivery of instruction in traditional and non-traditional educational settings. The Symposium features dynamic sessions, such as lighting talks, interviews, panel discussions, gallery walks, and networking opportunities. Visit the Symposium website to find out more about this year’s theme and sub-themes. We also encourage you to explore key learnings and presentations from the 2017 Symposium.
The event is invite-only and there is a $200 registration fee. To request an invitation for this year’s Symposium registration, please email [email protected] before October 19th.
