All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development
Improving Programs through Evidence Building and Knowledge Sharing
Focus:
Launched in 2011 by USAID, World Vision and the Australian Government, All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development (ACR-GCD) is an initiative that leverages science and technology to source, test, and disseminate scalable solutions to improve literacy skills of early grade learners in developing countries.
In addition to leading-edge research and creative partnership engagement, ACR GCD supports a series of global grant and prize competitions seeking innovative ideas that leverage the transformative power of technology to leapfrog existing challenges that are preventing children from learning to read.
