Mobiles for Education (mEducation) Alliance
Improving Programs through Evidence Building and Knowledge Sharing
The mEducation Alliance is committed to reducing barriers to improve learning outcomes in formal and non-formal education, particularly in low-resource developing country context, through access to appropriate, scalable, and low-cost “mobile” technologies. Supported by a Steering Committee of prominent global organizations working in this space, the Alliance supports knowledge-exchange through events, research, and publications across a broad range of “mobile” and other “information and communications technologies”.
The Alliance is committed to supporting the identification and applications of mobile technologies that can be effectively leveraged to address pressing educational issues including: literacy, appropriate educational content development and dissemination, system strengthening (such as education data for decision making), accessibility for learners with disabilities, professional development for educators, and workforce development.
The Alliance works to empower evidence-based decision making through an explicit focus on the evaluation of education technology interventions.
